POSITION SUMMARY:
The Therapist Associate will provide weekly individual therapy to clients diagnosed with Moderate to Severe Mental Health Diagnosis’s, while collaborating ongoing with both internal and external treatment team members that involve Program Managers, Residential Counselors, and behavioral health county case managers and clinicians.
Job Type: Full Time Pay: $35 – $38
Work Location: San Joaquin
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Meet with clients based on clinical assessments of client needs.
- Develop and implement treatment plans.
- Facilitate weekly group therapy sessions with assigned facility.
- Complete progress notes for all assigned clients based on individual sessions, group sessions, crisis intervention, as well as any interaction warranting clinical intervention.
- Perform individual counseling and crisis interventions.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Master’s degree required.
- Must be registered with the California board of behavioral sciences (BBS) as an AMFT and/or ACSW.
- Experience working in the adult residential care industry preferred.
- At least two (2) year of Mental Health experience preferred.
- Knowledge of psychiatric illness and treatment.
- Ability to work independently and be self-motivated.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively work with individuals and groups.
- Ability to flex work hours as needed.
- Willing to work some weekends and overnight shift.
- Possess strong interpersonal leadership, analytic, and problem-solving skills.
- CCL approved FBI and DOJ criminal background clearances.
- Valid driver’s license.
- CPR/First Aid/BLS certification
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to climb stairs multiple times a day and be able to lift and/or carry up to 25 pounds.
- Ability to sit, rise, kneel, squat, twist, pull bend multiple times a day.
- Ability to walk with items in hand, grasp and reach as needed.
- Ability to perform with repetitive maneuvers and manual dexterity.
- Ability to work in an office environment.
